I'm looking for a pair of black pants that can fit snuggly over the heel and eyelets of the skate (like this (http://heatherw.com/mk/pics/events/nat02/angela_prac9.jpg)). Loose bootleg pants have tripped me up in the past. Does anyone know where I can find something like this? Thanks.

Six-0 has them in fleece: click. (http://sixoskatewear.com/skat2K5/fleece.html)

I have "pants" like this. I buy mine at the dance shop.

REI usually has stretch non-bootleg workout bottoms.

I use running leggings from Lady Footlocker.

I wear cheap & cheesy leggings from Newport News (http://www.newport-news.com/shop/Product.asp?gpcatID=2&pacatID=1649&subcatID=&catid=1708&superstyleID=196611&productindex=3&firstpagetypeid=&pageindex=0) with tights underneath. I buy them in "Tall" (I am 5'8") and they easily go over the eyelets with length to spare--haven't tried to pull them all the way over the heel, though. For the price I think they're a winner.

Another suggestion, black leggings and black leg warmers. Pull the bottom of the leg warmers over the heels. I've seen that done by a lot of skaters and a few coaches as well.
Target is usually a good source for leg warmers.

Lots of leg warmers and cheaper than the dance stores!!!!! I love Target! That's a good idea, since my rink re-opened and it's much colder in there than last season (rink manager is trying to get the ice a little harder)....
I had a pair of stirrup pants that I cut the stirrup off of and hemmed-they were still long so they go over my boots and cover my laces pretty good. Some people wear long socks and fold them over their boots.

An alternative to buying new pants is to pull you current boot leg pants over the eyelets and the heel and use a large safety pin to pin the sides together under the blade, same look and same effect, but free (unless you need to buy safety pins!).

Seku has some awesome ones made just for figure skaters (although not cheap).
Some skate shops carry them, and they usually have an ad in Skating magazine if you want to contact them.
Hi,
I've also purchased nice ones from Target. They hold up well. My leggings take a beating from doubles practice - being streatched out with pads and falling! I also bought a pair in white to paint which could be ineresting. Perhaps I'll paint on doubles skating tips - wait, step up, don't land on me (for the bottom).
