If it's true, I'm gonna miss her lovely costumes, at least she will shine without the jumps now.

Yukina and I have some mutual friends and I got to chat with her quite a bit at the recent ice dance competition at Lake Placid. She made no secret about looking for a dance partner which was why she was in Lake Placid to begin with. Her English is doing great and she certainly has made a lot of friends in Colorado.

I did ask her and she said it was okay to be open about her desire to ice dance. Hey guys! She's available or she was two weeks ago.

She is a very lovely lady and a beautiful skater. I saw her at Skate America in Pittsburgh and although she was skating hurt, she is one of the few really artistic Japanese skaters; she just oozes musicality. She becomes like one with the music. One of her brothers is a conductor and the other plays water polo -- obviously the merging of athletics and music seems to be ingrained in the DNA.
She would be an absolutely awesome talent for any man out there with his sites on moving toward elite ice dancing.
