Is there a particular spin that you can do well? Once we know that, we can give suggestions based on that.
For example, if camel is your best, then I'm sure a lot of us here can work off that ...

How 'bout reverse camel/forward camel/catch camel/layback for starters? 8-)

You can jump between the back and forward spins, or you can simply push like a normal spin.

Because of the new judging system, you need a variation in every position (camel, sit, and upright). Can you do change of edge spins, such as outside forward camel, inside forward change sit? These, and positions which change your "core" (ie, biellmans, donut spins, catch camels, ect.) help increase the level of the spin.

Right now, my combo spin is: camel, outside camel, sit, pick of my foot to a catch camel (from the sit position), keep holding it into a layback, release it to a normal layback, back camel, back sit (head to knee), inside forward change upright, pull in on the inside edge to speed up. I'm a junior, and spins aren't my strongsuit -- this took me about a month of spolid practice to learn. Basically, unless you're an amazing spinner, if you can do your combination the first time you try it, it isn't hard enough. And Nova Sk8er is right -- you want to play to your strongsuits. I'm not particularly flexible, for example, so most of my difficulty comes from changing edge and speeding up, not positions which change my core. If you are flexible and positions such as biellmans and donuts come easily to you, doing those is much easier than trying to learn the change of edge spins (which took me about six months).

my spins are definatly my strongsuit a while ago my coach taught me this one
back camel lay over, back sit head to knee, this upright thingy where you grab ur left heel with ur right hand and lift, thompson tuck, forward sit with an arm variation, biellman with a vriation on how you grab ur leg. it was pretty tough but i got it........and then i was off for a month

I'd do that one. It sounds difficult enough, though you might want to add at least one change of edge. I'd stick with that one, adding a position or two more, instead of trying a completely new one. Best to go with what you know.

ummm..I'm not sure if its hard enough for novice, but i do it as a pre novice skater...back camel, back sit, camel, sit, layback, thompson spin....you could do variations on it..it's good because it starts on the back foot :P

I don't know much about usa levels, but pre novice skaters usually have most their doubles for jumps...it's when you first have both a short program and a long program...if thats any help to you :P:P
