My name is Jo and I am new to this forum.

I have been Ice Skating for year but i will be starting to take lessons later this month.

Hi Jo -- you are very welcome here! However, you might want to consider posting instead on the "On Ice Skaters" board, which is more oriented toward participant skaters than skating fans.

Interestingly, my coach is from South Africa: she skated in the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley (USA) -- well before your time, I'm afraid :lol: -- and has a daughter who is currently skating in the European "Holiday On Ice" show.
