I can't believe this story. Heard the teaser on the radio this morning and had to go to the website to read the story:

Thankfully, no one was hurt. He lost Zamboni privileges, but I wonder about his driving license?

Wait - the story gets better. Seems the driver has other issues:

I can't believe this story - who has two Valium, a cup of coffee with Sambuca and then heads out to crash the rink in a Zam, but he gets off the hook in court. Sheeesh.
das_mondlicht - I wonder if the guy's still employed at Mennen?
Anyone know what happened to the two guys who decided to drive through Burger King in a matched set of Zamboni's?

I was actually there that day. It was Sunday public session, if I remembered right (I still keep all my admission tickets). I thought "wow, he is speeding". Next week, I read the news and went back to rink for my lesson. Everyone was talking about it. He was not there of course and I haven't seen him around since then.

I can see why this guy got off the hook in court. There is no law against what he did in New Jersey.
However, I cannot see how he would have a case against his ex-employer.
If I were drunk at The Home Depot when I worked there, I would have gotten fired, plus arrested for public intoxication and endangering the public, if I were using a forklift or something.
I am confused.:??

As far as I know he doesnt work at the rink anymore. Channel 12 news was at the rink this morning interviewing and taping us skate. 8O

There is no law against what he did in New Jersey. That's a song line, right?
"In Jersey, anything's legal, as long as you don't get caught." *snicker*

When were you there? I remember hearing about this story but I only started skating last year so yeah. Figures, the one day I don't go skating is the day that something exciting happens.
