Hi Everyone,
Just home from the show. It was a great show tonight - as others have commented, I enjoyed the show this year more than the past few years. It was well skated and it's always wonderful to see my favorite skaters!
Though it was a great show, the ending could have been better. Jamie Sale and David Pelletier had a disasterous fall on a lift toward the end of their final program - Who Wants to Live Forever. She had just gone up into the platter lift and extended her arms to the side, when obviously feeling unbalanced she brought her hands back to adjust his hold. Jamie had just extended her arms again when David's feet went right out from under him and they went down. She landed right on top of him and he must have hit his head on the ice. When they stood, Jamie attended to Dave right away and he motioned for her to continue. We were sitting in the second row and it happened right in front of us. He looked absolutely stunned and my friend thought his nose was bleeding. My heart skipped a beat - or two. They finished their program and at the end, she gave him a big hug and kissed his forehead. They returned for the finale. They are so lucky that he wasn't seriously injured.
