Well, what do you think? The logo for the 2010 Olympic Games was unveiled tonight in Vancouver. Personally, I thought the whole show was wonderful. I enjoyed the performances, especially Cirque de Soleil. I also love the idea of the inukshuk (did I spell that right?). Good choice! Only 5 more years...

That is the old logo. I don't see a link on that site for the new logo. I'm sure it will be found somewhere online soon...

The new logo is at the top on the right hand side. The temporary logo is shown at the bottom on the left hand side:

I liked the temporary logo much, much better. To me it symbolized BOTH Canada (maple leaf) and Vancouver (ocean and the sailboat).

Oh well, to each his own. I am sure regardless of what the logo design is the souvenirs will still sell like hotcakes. ;)

Are they using the right shade of blue in the rings? I thought the blue was more of a royal blue, not a light, slate blue.

For those who don't want to register at the "around the rings" site, you can also view the logo at the official site (http://www.vancouver2010.com/En/default.htm) for the 2010 games.

I like the logo on its own ... but agree that the "temporary" one was more Vancouver. The inukshuk is a great symbol, but not very Vancouver-ish.
