I hate how everyone is always comparing her to her sister. We all realize that Sarah was an amazing skater, but Emily is also an amazing skater on her own, she doesnt need it broadcast that she is little sister to Sarah. It will make it difficult to ever be recognised on her own. They even announced her at the Gala for Jr. Worlds as the "little sister of the olympic champion Sarah Hughes, looks like she is following in her sister's footsteps"!!! I feel bad for her.

I met Emily and her parents one day at Klingbeil's. She's very sweet and poised. I hope she outgrows her sister's shadow.

If I had an Olympic Champion in my family, I would embrace it!

Emily has to work as hard as anyone else to get to the level of Elite skater, but having Sarah as a sister will open some doors for her, if just a tiny bit.

Embrace it girl, and work your tail off!!!
