This time it is the actual show, not the cheezy promo. ;)

Sorry to say, I thought the show was pretty cheesy too. I was really disappointed in Sarah Hughes. She seems to have lost her jumps for starters. I enjoyed Alexi though! ;)

I am a biased and true SOI fan. The show is NOT cheesey...it is one of the best shows they've done in the 11 I've seen.
The airing on A&E was good, but it chacked several "solo" numbers and also a lot of the transition pieces....it also showed the show out of order of what you see when you go to it live.
I thoroughly enjoyed it both live and aired on A&E.
This is a show for enjoyment, I really don't care if none of the skaters do a triple jump or not. All that matters is I see the joy on their faces while they skate and entertain me and they don't clean the ice up with their butts.

I would use the term "boring" as opposed to cheesy.

"Boring" works too! I don't expect the performances to be the same as a comp, but half the time most of the cast wasn't even skating. A couple of the programs were pretty good though.

I agree with those who felt the show was boring. After hearing all of the hype on the N.B.C. version of SOI about how unique this year's show was, compared to other years, I expected to see more than just the same old formula. I was sadly disappointed.

I also agree that Sarah should not be the centerpiece of the show. Although I don't think it's necessary for every skater to be able to do all of the triple jumps, I do believe that they should be able to at least do a few. Watching skaters who have lost most of their skills continue to skate is not enjoyable to me.
