Did anyone else see the Jr. Worlds Gala?? I was just there and I must say it was awsome. Congrats to Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir whom were amazing and had a standing ovation....It was a truly hilarious preformance. Mao Asada was also quite stunning as usual. Jessica Dube and Bryce Davidson were adorable in their gala performance, very stunning. Nobunari Oda was quite humorous when he skated in PJs.
Any one else have opinions on the gala or hte rest of the competition?

Yes, it was a fabulous week of competition and the gala was entertainng too.
There were times where I had to remind myself that these were juniors that we were watching. There were some really amazing and polished performances here. It really gave me a new found respect for the junior competitors.
Some highlights of the week for me: (in no particular order)
Nobunari Oda -- This kid just oozes personality and showmanship. His programs were wonderfully entertaining
Chris Mabee -- He fought back after a near disaster in qualifying to get a top 10 finish. Way to go
Mao Asada -- Was the epitome of grace and athleticism in the ladies' competition. If she can make it through the already crowded group of Japanese ladies, I wouldn't be surprised to see her at the top of the Worlds or Olympic podium at some point.
Emily Hughes -- much like her older sister a few years back, she hopped onto the podium while the U.S. contingent was arguing about the relative merits of Kimmie Meissner and Alissa Czisny. :) Good show.
Now we've got several thousand photographs to go through. I should start getting them posted this week.
But for now, time for bed.
