Thanks for posting your photos. With your pictures, we get to see more of the show than we did on TV. I'm still irked about how NBC mangled the broadcast.

I love Roca and Sur! So I am always happy to see photo's of them. The ones from the first haf (Phantom of the Opera) cracked me up! I clicked on each one of them in order, and started to wonder wht was going on towards the end. I had quite a laugh when I finally got to the last one! Teenes, can you tell us how it all played out live? I imagine the audience laughed too!

Hi SingAlto - I haven't actually watched the broadcast yet, but it's a shame if they did cut out a lot. I'm not completely surprised, though. This show was clearly set up as a pre-Oscar show, and I'm curious what they had to do to get the use of the clips of the movies. It was a good show, though.
mom2boys - what basically happened is that Gorsha had lifted Renee, and the dismount had him basically lowering her face to face (clicky clicky (http://www.kurtfiles.com/images/movies05/dsc_1316.jpg), and some of the sequins on her dress got caught on the front of his shirt so they were attached together. First they tried to surreptitiously detach themselves (http://www.kurtfiles.com/images/movies05/dsc_1317.jpg) and move on, but it soon became clear that they were really really stuck. It was an incredibly cute moment, as each of them took their turn trying to separate themselves, laughing harder and harder. I think they almost resigned themselves to having to find a way off the ice while still stuck face to face but finally did manage to separate, waved to the audience, and scampered off the ice. When they came out later to reshoot the ending to the program, Lea Ann Miller was like "Please, PLEASE don't get your shirts stuck again!" And then they ran off after finishing the ending pose without doing bows, causing Lea Ann to ask them to redo the whole ending pose through the bows b/c she didn't have any material to work with from the first runthrough given that the ending of the program was totally screwed up by the costume mishap. The audience quite frankly got a good laugh out of the whole incident, causing Lea Ann to tease Renee and Gorsha when they came out to do the retakes that maybe they should just use the original footage since people really enjoyed it =).

I actually saw a lot of this program live. I missed a few programs here and there, and I definitely missed the one where they got stuck together, but I did see quite a few of them. Looking back on the photos now, I also realized that I missed Elvis doing Eminem's "Lose Yourself" which is one of my favourite songs. Frankly, it sucks. Looking at the pictures, I don't know if Elvis was the best one to skate out the song, but then again, I didn't see the live program.
Me personally, I think that Elvis should've retired, every time I see him skate now, he seems to be getting worse and worse.
