I thought you might be interested to know that there is a huge article about Annie Bellemare in the Montreal Gazette today. Here's a link to the story:

I have to be honest and that is that I have never seen this skater skate. The article was very interesting and I found myself thinking that this is the kind of stuff that Champs are made of. You know all this struggle and trying to cover everything and not enough cash for all you need or want and all. Anyhow, I am thinking that if this girl has got JC helping her then lookout! JC was so good when she skated in KB You must remember this. I didn't know she could skate like that because the only other time I had watched her was at the Olympics when THarding messed up/had some kind of problem and JC was forced to go and skate before she was really prepared and she was not able to skate as she had planned(I always felt that was so wrong of the Oly. committee or skating committee or whoever to force her to skate before her alotted time). Anyhow, I now realize the quality of skating that she always possessed and it is sooo great that she is helping her fellow countrywomen. I too will be on the lookout for AB this season. I wish her all the best on her blades. May she glide to certain success!

Thanks for posting those great articles! I'd also like to congratulate Josée on her new choreography career and I think she's a wonderful person for Annie to work with--there's a lot of similarities in their skating styles. Both have high jumps, interesting programs, and are absolutely incredible to watch when they're on, but they've both struggled a lot with landing those jumps under pressure and their "bad" performances are absolutely painful to watch.
Mistyeyed, too bad Annie's 2001 Skate Canada LP was never shown on US TV. She skated an awesome program against some very tough competition and almost landed a 3-sal/3-loop combination (the only major mistake I remember from that performance). If I remember correctly, Annie landed more triples than Michelle or Irina that day. :D She was a lot more consistent last season than during the past few years (almost beating Jennifer Robinson for the Canadian title this year), so hopefully she'll be able to keep it up and improve this year (and get more coverage on US TV as well!)
