:( Angela last year finished only finished 5th and for the first time in her career got beaten by Amber Corwin. And I have always preferred Jennifer Kirk's skating over Angela's. With the tragety she experienced this year, I dont think she'll ever get close to top 5 anymore. Do you think that her career could be over if she does not do well in 2006 US National?

Angela's career will be over when she decides to stop competing. Even if she placed last at Nationals, her career still wouldn't be "over" so long as she competes. As for top 5? Depends if she wants it, and is still willing to put in the work for it. She's capable of it, will it happen? No way for anyone but her to tell, and for all you know she might skip another season and come back in two years. I wouldn't count her out unless she says she's out.

I'd love to see her skate as an Ice Dancer, if she gets dicouraged as a singles skater. She has a quality on the ice that would be wonderful. Peter T. needs a partner....hint...hint

Angela's strength is her jumps, I don't think she has the expression/flamboyance a female ice dancer needs, and her footwork is probably the poorest part of her skating (though it's not POOR, but it's not good enogh for dancing, she'd need a lot of time to work on it). Plus she's pretty tall, it'd be nearly impossible to find a partner for her. I'm not counting her out of the ballgame as a singles skater, either way.

Even if she's not in the top 5, I'd still like to see her skate.

Well, Angela's 5'4" so she's almost too short to be to be an ice dancer these days.

Cheers,

Oh, wow, she's 5'4?? I read somewhere she was 5'7, hence my comment. That part is retracted, then, my bad. :P
