The real problem is incompetent or dishonest judges and officials(some). The new system cannot unfortunaly change that.

I think the system is too complicated - way too many numbers have to be assigned and added, etc. How do they score routines on bars, beam, and floor at gymanstics? There are many elements and transitions in each of these, and yet there is one score given. Why do we have to have columns of numbers, etc?

The randomness and secrecy is a joke, as is the power of the controller, the lack of an avenue for correcting human error (as in miscalling a jump, etc) and the millions of ways to manipulate results.

I'm betting that the whole system blows up in Cinquanta's face at the Olympics, and he gets ousted after a huge scandal.
