She has not been mentioned for a while - so how did Polly go at Nats?

Garret Lucash had to go to the bathroom and Katie needed a hand practicing a lift, so Polly helped her, only to cut her hand on all those crystals. 8O

 Ahhhh...Polly! Once again Chacked from the TV viewing audience. It's happened so often, that the term is going from "chacked" to "pooperacked".
Ever since she competed at the Cup of Soup (the only Not-So Grand Prix event she was invited to), she's been unable to get her performance together under the Code of Points. "I adhere to no code," she was overheard to have said.

Well, at the CoS, there was some controversy as to whether her "falling tree" was cheated a quarter turn.

Ummm, I'm not familiar with Polly P. but it sounds like she may be a distant relative (or perhaps a training partner) of Ludmilia Skatelikehellova, one of rssif's favorite divas. Sad to say, she has also been missing in action for some time now.

I've always wondered...who is Polly? Is she fictional?

Polly Pooperak was a fictional skater born on the old FSW forum site. She is very creative, competes in all disciplines, wears lots of illusion fabric, strategically placed sequins, likes to "dispose" of the competition, constantly gets the pewter medal and her main claim to fame is her falling tree where she jumps off the barrier and does a belly flop on the ice!!

She can also do a no-legged Charlotte spiral!!

I think she is once again resorting to tracing her ancestry, looking for dual citizenship. After also being snubbed for the 4CC, she has accepted an invitation to 3CC (two cities, one country).

She has come up with a new move again this year. This time it's for pairs. She and Wally are back together (yeah!). Wally stands prefectly still, while Polly skates swiftly across the ice to where he stands. She jumps up and appears to grasp his shoulders as if attempting a leapfrog movement. The difference is that she firmly holds on to his shoulders and stays up. Wally begins to slowly spin the allowed 3 1/2 rotations. Dubbed "the Polly-Grip" by the press, the move has officially not yet been named.

Polly Wally duo all the way!

You totally missed the controversy!!!

The FCC's hopping mad about what happened during Polly's free skate.
You know how Jenny Kirk skated the outline of a heart? Sky-Cam caught Polly's perfect edging of something *else* -- here's how ABC called it:

PEGGY: This is a nice move, she's tracing the outline of -- I think it's a rose.
.
DICK: It would be first rate -- if Jennifer Kirk hadn't done it first --

TERRY GANNON: Uh, Dick...

DICK: ...I really take my hat off to Jenny Kirk, a real Broadway baby, a Hitchcock blonde, while this one's a bit of a blonde bombshell

TERRY: Dick, I don't think that's a rose. That looks more like a hand...

DICK: ...a sensuous diva!

PEGGY: Oh, Dick.

TERRY: I could swear she's writing something now...Wow! I never knew how that word was spelled. ...Peggy, will she get credit for flipping off the Sky Cam?

Polly was planning a wardrobe malfunction but realized she couldn't out-do Janet Jackson. Thus the Sky Cam Flip-Off...

But you all MUST admit that she's still pushing the boundaries of the possible in the area of costuming! I was speechless!   I didn't know illusion fabric could do that!

Has anyone heard Polly's reaction to the results at Worlds?

taking a cue from Irina's costuming, Polly guaranteed coverage on ESPN by skating to the theme music to "The World Series of Poker" and "Celebrity Blackjack". You should see her unique Texas Holdem move!

Now that Nats and Worlds are over we will see Polly in the TOIR *Trees on Ice Tour, It is the story of Toy Story meets Hanzel and Gretel in the Forest.

Polly has the starring role of Gretel who leaves little snow balls for Buzz Lightyear to find the witch's home. Buzz and Woody come to the children's rescue. The story is absolutely wonderful and I recommend that none of you miss it when it comes to your area.
