I just got back after all 3 groups are done - most of the last group showed. Jenny Kirk did a couple of triples... I mostly didn't want some of the others, but Jane Bugaeva was working on her 3-lutz and I think she tried a 3-loop/3-toe close to the end of the session. Only 3/3 I saw that I remember from all the ladies groups.

Looks like Sasha hasn't signed in yet, neither has Kimmie and some others. Perhaps they're practicing in nearby rinks instead for now.

Michelle looks set to take what she did at Marshalls as her Bolero FS for Nats - meaning I don't think there's gonna be anything new, or even a 3-loop. She didn't work on any 3-loops at all in the session.

Sasha, Angela and Kimmie didn't show for the practices today. I haven't heard whether they've been spotted at any of the local rinks -- I would think that rumor would have been fling through the Portland skating community!!

I seem to remember that Amber Corwin did a triple-triple right next to where I was sitting in the front row for this practice. Is that possible? I was impressed.

Yes it is possible- because she cheats them. Meanwhile I do find it interesting that none of the "names" are using the official practices, although with the new rules I wouldn't either. Maybe USFS will get the message and not restrict practice space once you've registered. I'm sure many of the people who bought the whole package bought it for practice ie viewing priviledge, and I doubt they're too happy none of the top ladies have showed up for it.

It seems to me that in the past Nationals I have attended many of the "names" wait until later in the week to attend official practices. They will, however, attend them to get a feel for the arena.

This is the first year since 1996 that I am not at Nationals and I am feeling very sad. Hope you guys are enjoying it! Keep us updated.
