Hi all,

Just checked out the cos website and they are starting to put up the entry list of skaters.

Just found the link here:

COS Summer Skate Entries (http://www.skatecanada-centralontario.com/Irma/2002%20Summer%20Skate/default.htm)

The men's field looks fantastic and the ladies field looks quite strong as well. Good preview of Japanese skaters as well as Canadians. And it's cool to see Roth/McPherson trying out this competition too!

Edited to fix URL. ~Lee

Roth & McPherson are listed as competing at the Indy Challenge the same weekend. I wonder which one is right?!!

Wow, what a great line-up for the ladies too. You got Jennifer Robinson and Suzukia Arakawa which should be a great match-up.

If anyone is going to Thornhill and would like to meet up for a coffe, or a chat between ice-makes, send me a PM. I'm planning on being out there all weekend.

Roth/McPherson will not be at Indy and I was told would be competing in Canada, so this must be the place.

koala - the arena is at Bayview and John. I don't know the exact address but it is likely on the COS website. From Shepherd and Bathhurst you would go east on Shepherd and then north on Bayview. This is likely not the fastest way as parts of Shepherd are under construction. I would be inclined to go North on Bathhurst to Finch and then take Finch to Bayview turning left to head north to the arena. I am not a local so maybe one of the Torontonians in the group can be of more assistance. I am hoping to get there on Sunday to see the long programs but I am not very good with identifying jumps (although I do know loop, axel and lutz ) so my reviews would not be good - sorry folks. Last year it was worth the cost of admission to see the young japanese skaters - looking forward this year to seeing the new dance teams.

Admission is 5 dollars. An All event Pass is available for 15. But that's only worth if you attend all 4 days. 3 days regular admission would equal the same thing, lol.
