"Michael, a Los Angeles Police deputy sheriff and former U.S. national couples figure skater, has endured both physical and emotional pain as a result of his years of police work and pursuing his Olympic dreams. Michael was an alternate in the 1992 U.S. Olympic team and once ranked third in the nation, but his eleven years as a national figure skater took a major toll on his body. Nowadays he's skating solo and chasing criminals, which has resulted in numerous broken bones -- such as his nose, which has been fractured five times. His ex-fiancie recently broke off their engagement just days before their wedding, leaving Michael heartbroken. While doing time at the makeover mansion, his ex-fiancie surprises him with a phone call and delivers some stunning news. Michael turns to the Extreme Team to give him the chance to mend his broken down body and spirit and to score a perfect 10 once again."

Perhaps it could be Michael Verlich, who finished 3rd in dance at 1991 US Nationals with partner Jeanne Miley.

Michael had a bad freeskate in 1992 and finished about 7th and he never skated as a "couple" to my knowledge.

Michael Verlich was the bronze dance medalist in 1991 with Jeanne Miley.

Miley and Verlich - one of my all time favorite dance teams. Probably second only to Torvill and Dean. Their Peter Gunn free dance in 1991 was one of the best ever done. Unfortunately it got chacked from the 1991 broadcast by a basketball game that went long.

In 1993 he had a different partner (don't remember her name). They skated to "Havana". Again, one of the programs I can watch over and over. He has been doing some choreography in the past few years.

Jeannie Miley is married with children. She was in Salt Lake for the Olympics.

Michael Verlich will make a great subject. He is outgoing and a lot of fun.

Ah - I missed the part about "couples" . I guess it was 93 that Michael Chack had a great Nationals?

Jeannie now coaches at a rink in Virginia- she just recently started there.

OOps Just clicked on your like Mikey......................Does anyone have any links to pictures of them together or apart? Would be fun to see what he looked like then compared to now. Just a thought.
