Wow what an icedent that was too. I was too younge to remember it( I was like 2 or 3 years old) but i did get the book on the situation. I almost feel bad for Tonya...with an abusive mother...alchoholic brother....*sigh* But nothing can be an excuse for what she did.

Michelle Kwan was at that practice, and was right behind Nancy. I don't think I've ever read anything about her perspective/experience about it all before, but she mentions it in the latest issue of Skating magazine, I think.

there was a book which had frank carroll's perspective on the attack but i seem to have misplaced that book & wil not be able to type it out....it has been quite a while :) lol i believe the cover had a picture of nancy in her gorgeous white costume from 92 olympics while she was doing her trademark spiral.

I do wish that they had given Tonya's national title to Michelle Kwan rather than leave it vacant. Any birdbrain could tell you that if someone ranked higher than you gets DQd, the rankings should be modified. Had they done this, Michelle would now be the 10-time national champion.
