i was going through my old pageant tapes and found out he was a judge @ miss universe. he marked fairly :) how nice.

i remember this! wasnt that the year the tall, gorgeous black woman from trinidad (i believe) won--the final qestion being something along the line what would they tell a person who has slept for the past 50 years what they missed?

Anyhow, wendy Fitzwilliam from T&T was amazing throughout the final except for her final question and yet managed to steal the crown....

i was very glad that she won, but i do remember thinking "she blew it!" after she gave that answer to the final question! i understood the point she was attempting to make, but she was fumbling like crazy.

I think Brian Boitano judged a beauty pageant also. I can't remember which one though--could have been a Miss Universe. Does anybody remember?

Yeah, Elvis was a judge and we posted pictures of it (which his mother took and kindly provided to us) on our webpage for Elvis. Miss Trinidad won but apparently Elvis voted for Miss Venezuela. They were both gorgeous! And even if it was not P.C. to watch Miss Universe, all the Elvis fans watched just to hear his voice 8) and yes, he did vote very fairly and conscientiously :D

Thanks for posting those photos Donna. I think I'll start a pageant and vote for Elvis as "Mr. Universe" Gotta love him he's so adorable. :D
