I meant first after the new rule. Everyone says it was Irina, but Fumie did it first.

The new rule wasn't put in place until this season so technically Irina's the first(since the rule). Also, Fumie had a skirt portion on her pants outfit which is why it was still legal.

Katarina did not wear pants for her RobinHood program, she just had on dark tights and a tunic look to her "skirt", but tights/leggings are not the same as trousers.
I am all for no costume rules at all.
I noticed Jordan Brauniger had a sleeveless shirt for his short program and I had never seen that before at qualifying competitions, although I have seen it a million times for shows. The funny thing is, I heard the judges suggested he shave or trim his underarm hair! :lol: Would'nt want a skater to show any of that authentic man hair, now, would we? :roll:

I hope Irina wins Worlds, I hope she gets the Oly gold in 2006, as well. A lot goes into making a champion and I think that everything she's gone through and the grace with which she has dealt with it makes her a champion in my book. I hope she skates up to her mental strength everytime it counts. It sure looks like it has started well.

Totally agree! As a matter of fact, this is the second comeback she has done in the skating career. And she is looking really good. If she wins the title this year, it will probably be the biggest win she has ever had, even beyond a potential 2006 Olympic gold in Turin because of it being in Moscow.
