I would love to read the article but am tired of being forced to register for such articles.
I used to be registered by the Tribune papers, then I started getting junk email saying that I am getting the email due to my registration. When I signed up, I specifically stated that I did not want my information shared and they shared it anyway!
Besides, I'm tired of remembering all the logins and passwords!

Have you ever gone to www.bugmenot.com ? It is a great site...you supply the website you would like to go to, and they give you an email and password to enter in at the site. Because I won't register for all of these things either, so I love bugmenot.
Hope it helps!

Could someone summarize the article? Nothing wrong with that.
Sounds awful...a coach firing a skater with an Olympic bronze medal under his belt?

There are usually two side to a story in a situation like this. We've only heard Tim's verion. Frank is a well-respected coach and we should give him the benefit of a doubt.

Basically, they had a disagreement over training pholosophies (whatever that means) and Carroll called Tim over to the side of the rink and simply said, "We're done". Tim says he doesn't really understand what happened or why. He also said that Audrey was the only person left for him to work with.
How very weird is this!!

I don't think you need to specify a userid/psw for the Post. Just answer simple questions like zip code, address, age, etc., most of which you can make up.
If you do have to specify a userid/psw for non-secured sites like registering to read the different online newspaper, I would recommend using just one userid/psw for all of them. No need to come up with something different for each site you're registering for.

He also said that Audrey was the only person left for him to work with.
Since Frank had already sent Tim to work with Audrey over the summer, he has had time to feel comfortable with Audrey and her teaching style. So naturally she would be the first person he thought of when he and Frank split; otherwise, Tim would have to waste valuable training time auditioning potential coaches.

"When I was fired, I knew Audrey was my first choice as a coach," Goebel said during a break at a practice session this week. "Actually, she was my only choice. If she was busy, I didn't know what I was going to do."
I interpreted the use of the work "only" to mean....well....only. Not best, most comfortable, or logical. Hadn't really thought of it the other way.

I feel bad for Timmy G! I can't believe Frank would do that.

Tim should go back to Carol Heiss if that is at all possible. I think Frank is still waiting for that Olympic gold medal to come his way. Tim only has a bronze.

????? That's odd, because he's been at Healthsouth lately. As recently as last Tuesday. And on "Frank's" sessions, at that, though I don't know if they were training. But he was there, for certain.
And yeah, you can fake all your answers on these registrations, I certainly don't feel bad about doing it, I hope it pisses them off like their registrations piss me off. ;)

Oh well.
That there is a lot of nastiness in skating, we all know...best to Tim.
