Kwan ankle injury

apparently mk has an ankle injury
last time this happened was 1998 when she was practicing 3 toe / 3 toe
maybe she has been working on them again to add them to her repetoire but got injured
in 1998 she had to take it out of the program because of her ankle
if this is the same case that would be a shame because I would have loved to see her do 3/3s again!

You are correct, it was a toe injury. Aside from that and a sore back a few times, MK has been relatively injury free during her career.

May I ask where this information came from? I know I read a report from one poster who thought she/he saw Michelle wrap her ankle after leaving the ice during the warmup at Marshalls. This has been reported second hand to other boards, where it has been speculated that there is an injury. Another poster wrote that he/she saw Michelle barefooted (without a wrap) putting her skate back on. These are pretty opposite posts.

I am not doubting your post, but do you have real information that there is an injury, or are you just reporting what you have read elsewhere? Thanks.

If you are talking about my post, I was referring to the 98 injury. Not the reported ankle injury. I found nothing official about that.

Was she skating at the cheesefest with an ankle injury? No wonder she pulled out of the GP series then. She did good at the cheesefest for having an injury. Good for her fighting through it like she did. Why would she risk it though?

This is the best way for rumors to get started. Can you please be more specific about the ankle injury because I don't recall anyone saying saything about it other than having boot problems.

That is what I am saying, but I hope it isn't true. Sorry for not being specific, I hate rumors, especially if one was untrue about Michelle!
