I saw Ashley recently and she's fine, but I'm going to leave it up to her whether she wants to come here and post anything more specific than that.

I thought you had written "A bagger, for sure." I thought it was a really mean insult about being so ugly you needed to wear a bag "for sure." When I realized my mistake, I started laughing.
I hope the pair do well this year.

And she's the US Jr Pairs Champion! She also skates singles. She's been a pairs skater .

Shantel Jordan was 9 years old when she made her debut at Novice Nationals in January 2002. Portland Nationals will be her 4th straight trip to "big" Nationals and Jordan/Barrett's senior debut.

Shantel's too young for ISU junior events, but she and Jeremy have competed at two North American Challenge Skates (in 2002 and 2004) and they were invited to compete as guests at France's senior nationals earlier this month, which they won over 2 other French pairs.

 Um... no. Doing pairs at ten isn't unusual at all. I have a friend who started pairs at ten and had won JN's a year later. I've heard of kids starting pairs as young as seven or eight, especially girls skating with their older brothers. She's definitely not the youngest ever by a long shot. Like someone else said, Shantel Jordan competed at *big* nationals for the first time at nine, and she was actually two levels ahead of Pipkin and Copely.

I think its pretty funny that the French Pairs Champs are Americans! They did get the championship trophy, I saw the picture online!
