Last night Susie W mentioned while commentating that many women were not bothering to try the triple triple combos because it was not worth the risk in the COP.

So, I guess I am still confused how jumps factor in to the COP...

How is a skater affected if they have fewer, and less difficult jumps?

How is a skater affected if they try a quad or triple-triple and miss the element?

In regard to jumps, what is the best route for a skater to go to maximize their COP score? Be risky? Not be risky?

The thing that has been dangerous so far is people going for 3/3 or a quad falling short of rotation and not only having it be a bad jump for GOE, but also having it counted as a 3/2 or a normal triple.

That helps me make more sense out of the whole "to jump or not to jump" question. Thanks!

What does GOE stand for?

As always, it depends on your competition I would think?

Also, I thought that in COP in the LONG PROGRAM if you fell on a jump it just wasn't there, like in the 6.0 system, but Paul Wylie said you get a deduction of 1.something, I forget.

The grade of execution was there in the 6.0 system too, only there was not a specific number assigned, so the judges had a lot more leeway...things like speed into, out of, height, ice coverage, air position were judged.
