Just a reminder that N.B.C. will be showing Kristi Yamaguchi's Salute to American Music On Sunday (28th) afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Eastern/1:00p.m. Pacific.

After watching the SRC broadcast of Kristi's show last weekend, this is one show I'd definitely recommend fans who miss the "old-school" mid-90s pro skating shows tune into. The show brought back a few good memories of SOI group numbers and other classic performances from that era for me, so I'm sure other fans of that type of skating will enjoy it, too! :D

Oh yes, what an enjoyable show! As my husband and I watched, we kept making comments like "these are the skaters we began our love of the sport with", "you can tell these are professional skaters", "these skaters have such wonderful showmanship", etc. etc.
Sometimes these specials don't meet my expectations but this one was so very special.
What made it even more special was seeing Art Gurfunkel singing live...my husband and I went to the "Old Friends" concert this past spring and it was like reliving a bit of the show seeing Art sing. I was brought to tears by his singing and Kristi's skating to "Bridge Over Troubled Waters".
Ilia was fantastic, he is so innovative and enjoyable. Paul was powerful and moving, Brian enjoyable, it was so good to see Caryn and Roz again. And of course, my favorite, Kurt--loved his "pure skating" to "Time In A Bottle".
Excellent show...wish we'd had the vacation time to have been able to have attended(Hershey is about a 2 hour drive from us).
