These links probably have spoilers to the NHK results.

His new coach is Audrey Weisiger.

Everybody keeps saying it like that! With the exclamation point to. It makes you gasp that way. I'm glad it's mutual though.

So Tim's moving to Fairfax, VA?

Wow, why is Audrey Weisinger suddenly the hot coach all of a sudden? Now Onda has an elite training partner :)

I just pray that she doesn't turn Timmy into mini-Weiss. Personally, I really don't think it's a good move because Michael Weiss is a lot of things- elegant and graceful are not part of them. And Timmy was making progress with his artistry, he was a little more fluid at Campbell's and it was sooo nice to see. I think this is a step backwards in that regard, but then again perhaps I am wrong and Michael being stiff had more to do with Michael being such a "man" and less with his coach. Time will tell, I guess! HealthSouth is kinda gradually losing its glory though, like Ice Castle did a while back. Is Frank Caroll cursed????

I think a large problem with Weiss is his wife's choreography, which I don't think present him well, especially in the long program. I think Weiss did better under Brian Wright. Weiss talked about taking a chance this year by skating to heavy metal music, but the chance he should be taking this year is to work with a new choreographer.

I'm sure Tim will use a high-profile, well-known choreographer to help him, and Audrey will work with him on technique. Althought Audrey wasn't able to fix Weiss's skid axel take-off , so I'm sure Tim will still fluz and has the scary lunge technique on his axel take-off.

Yay! Timmy's coming to my training rink. I saw him there over the summer, and now the suspicions have proven true!

I hope he doesn't skate on the same session that Loops and I train on. It's hard enough dodging some of the kiddies, but dodging quad jumps might be too much for us wee beginner pair skaters.

I hope Audrey has a positive effect on Tim's skating. I thought Audrey was good with Mike; it was his wife that commandeered his career.

Timmy is totally 100 percent respectful of anyone who is on the ice with him. I've skated with him, and there were kids/adults of all levels on the session (albeit not more than 10 people altogether) but Timmy got out of MY way more than I had to get out of his. He goes around. He's amazingly courteous.

Why am I still awake? I have to wake up in 3 hours, yay?

It has been my experience that the finest skaters are the most courteous. When you know that you're good, you don't have to waste time "proving it" to other skaters on the session. Just MHO.

Good luck to Tim!

Yep, it is just the skaters who "think" they are good that run over people!!! When in fact these "skaters" edges, spins and jumps are all bad! We have one guy at the rink on Sundays who is an adult dancer on a freestyle who acts like he is going to the Olympics the following week. I have seen his own partner yell at and hit him for his actions. He constantly runs over the smaller (5-10yrs old) skaters, and yells at them. He really needs to move on in life! He is so arrogant, it really makes me sick! I bet there are a few of these guys all around the country! Now that I thinking about it I do not know why she does not find another partner, she is kind and funny. They just don't seem to go well together of course this is MHO.:P

I hear ya.
Yoshie Onda was on our (can I say "our" :) ) session, and she was very gracious. (And her triple flip was HUGE!)

I doubt Tim will skate on the same session as us--although it is relatively late on Friday morning, and there are only 4 or 5 other skaters on the ice.

Time will tell.

And a write-up on Tim in the Washington Post (may require sign up to view?):

I wonder how Weiss is going to feel when the local media starts to focus their attention on the high-profile Olympic medalist Tim Goeble, especially when Turin rolls around. If Tim wins Nationals and do well at Worlds, it's going to be his face on the front page of the local Washington Post, not Weiss.

She may turn Tim into a mini Yoshie, or a Yoshie into a mini Tim

i am glad that tim is going to audrey, not someone else like tarasova or whomever. they seem quite compatible!

speaking of audrey: i am so impressed with yoshie's improvements! I never used to care for her skating, but I now find it very enjoyable!

EWWW nooo not Timmy! I would much rather him stay with Frank. I'm not a really big fan of her work with umma mister Mike Weiss... I'm just praying she doesnt 'morph' him over...lol

Can anyone explain her strengths as a coach to me? Does anyone think maybe Tim was not getting enough attention with Evan and Jenny around? Maybe Frank doesn't seem adaptable to the cop? Any theories?

She is very straight forward and likes to correct obvious weaknesses in skaters.

Tim was probably Frank's favourite if anything (with the exception of MK), and I don't think Frank is not adaptable to the CoP. He seems to be leveling off with his coaching though. It's a shame because he worked wonders with Michelle Kwan and Timothy but they both left him.

Mike was never the face on the newspaper. He has always been overshadowed. I personally think he should go pro. He is more compatible with the professional circuit!
