Is a jump sequence counted as 2 seperate jump elements? Like for example Cynthia did a 3lutz/3toe sequence. If she did that, and they are counted as 2... wouldn't she have had 8 jump elements at skate canada? And the ladies are only allowed 7, therefore her 8th jump she'd receive no points for?
Hopefully someone can clear this up. :)

Acutally, a 3lutz/3toe is a combo, not a sequence. She got credit for doing a combonation, which counts as one element. A jump sequence is where there is a turn or other revolution inbetween jumps (such as an axel/half loop/2sal). These count as a sequence and are still considered one element. While Phaneuf may have completed 8 triples, the combo counts as only one element, and you are allowed to have up to 3... as far as I understand it.

She did 3lutz - mazurka - LFO 3turn 3toe... isn't that considered a sequence? Anyway.. thanks for clearing it up that it still counts as one element. :)

That's a sequence. I it probably counts as one element but it is two triples FAIK they are allowed 3 combinations/sequences.
