Did she retire? Alissa is still skating but I haven't seen Amber listed as competing in quite awhile.

I hope she switches to ice dance! Amber has passed her Gold dances and is a very capable dancer. She will be able to train alongside Belbin & Agosto since she is at the same club!

Yes, it is true that Amber had a foot injury and it plagued her for most of last year. She had a painful fungus infection on her landing foot due to her skates constantly being wet and not being able to dry them properly (remember, she skates almost 40 hours/week in them). This really affected her training. We can all take a good lesson from this about keeping our skates as dry as possible and airing out our bags after each ice session.
