This is especially good news in light of her reportedly great performance at EGL Regionals this past weekend, where I hear she got a standing ovation after her long program. I look forward to seeing her compete on national television, which is long overdue. Good luck Alissa!

Can anyone comment on what she did last week at EGL in the short and long program? I don't know much about this skater.

Reports from EGL are that Alissa Czisny landed 3lutz-2toe, 2axel and 3flip (hand down) in the SP and a 2axel and 6 triples -- 2 lutzes (1 in combo with a 2toe), flip, loop, sal, toe -- in her free skate (some of her triples may have been slightly underrotated). This was a very positive showing for her because she has tended to be inconsistent in competition (8th in SP and 15th in FS for 12th overall at 2004 Nationals, for example). She's best known for her flexible and fast spins and spirals and has a delicate quality to her skating.
