I read the article in The Boston Herald this a.m. She is due in the Spring and Matthew is hoping for a little sister. The article talks about how she has had 5 miscarriages since Matthew turned 1. She has cancelled all shows she was to perform in this season.

I don't know how to post the link to the article since this is my first official post! I have been lurking for a long time though. Maybe someone can post it for me. Just go to TheBostonHerald.com and search for Nancy Kerrigan.

Awwwwwwwww that's terrible.. to have 1 misscarriage is bad enough.. but 5!!

Anyway here's the article:

But the 1998 silver medalist is optimistic she'll carry this baby to term because she has made it past the magical 3-month mark when most miscarriages occur.

``We waited to tell Matt and he's so excited and thrilled - crazily excited,'' she said.

You'd think the paper would be a little more accurate. . . . she was the 1994 Olympic silver medalist, not 1998!

Congratulations to Nancy & her family. How old is her other little boy?

I'd heard she'd had miscarriages. I hope this pregnancy will be completely successful for herself and her family.
Congrats and Good luck Nancy!

The 1998 silver medalist is Michelle Kwan and she isn't pregnant, hopefully thats not what the back pain is all about.

I'd heard about the one, five in total? Obviously Nancy's a strong person, we all knew that from the events of 94, but to go through 5 miscarriages and not have some sort of a breakdown at some point...Wow. I hope and pray this baby will be carried to term. I've always liked Nancy and wish nothing but the best for her and this newest blessing to her and her family.

 Blosmbubbs! :P I'm still  at that obvious mistake. I've read articles matching skaters' victories with the wrong year before, but you'd think that would be the one competition even a non-skating fan could manage to remember.

I remember Nancy saying she and her husband were having trouble giving Matthew a little brother or sister a year or so ago, but I had no idea they had to endure that much trouble. :( I hope the fact Nancy's gone public with this news means she's no longer in danger of another miscarriage and I especially hope this pregnancy has a much happier ending for her! :D

I hope she has a little girl and she is healthy. It's true about a non skating fan could remember that year, lol

Someone on another board saw Nancy on the Today Show this morning. Apparently she was promoting this year's Halloween on Ice show even though she's not skating in it this year. It sounded like she's doing just fine! :D
