This was a very enjoyable show, but I'm no good at writing reviews.

Hey..I went to the show!!, I thought it was awesome.
I live about 10 minutes away from the arena so its really easy for me to get too.
I thought the show was brilliant!

Great pics Janet, thanks for sharing.
It was a great show, I got watery eyes a couple of times.

Thanks for posting your photos here, jeb! Looks like there was a good mix of "serious" and more light-hearted programs at the show, and I'm especially happy to see "Antares" and "Patricia The Stripper" pulled out of the mothballs!

I'm also happy S&P skated "Who Wants To Live Forever" at the show--that's probably my favourite number of theirs from last season. Was their second program a brand-new number or did they just wear old costumes?

The final group photo with Lloyd and Isabelle's kids is too cute for words! I'm glad there were a few funny programs ("Patricia The Stripper," "Slippery Side Up") at what must have been a very emotional show.

It sounded like a wonderful night of skating and I hope CBC won't chack too much during their TV broadcast (or at least give it a timeslot longer than 60 minutes!)

Salé & Pelletier's number in the first act was a brand new debut. The music is "Radar Love" and it was choreographed by Hough & Ladret. I absolutely adored it. I'll have a review of the whole show up at my website soon - probably either tonight or tomorrow.

I'm with you on a longer timeslot on CBC - but there's more hope. I overheard one of the cameramen tell someone else in my row that they were shooting footage for a DVD! :D

Thanks, melbo! I remember Doug helped choreograph a program to "Radar Love" for Kurt in the late 90s and during an online chat, Kurt said Hough & Ladret actually planned to skate to "Radar Love" themselves before their retirement. So I'm very much looking forward to seeing S&P's new program to this music! :)

That's also good news about the DVD--I hope it will be avaliable outside of Canada for fans who otherwise wouldn't be able to see the show! :)

I'm sure that at the very least, the DVD would be able to be ordered online somewhere. Oh, the wonders of the internet. :)

I've posted my review and photos at my website - the link is below.

Thanks again for the wonderful reviews and photos, melbo! Some of your captions (especially "I veto this retirement!") are almost as enjoyable to see as the photos! ;)

I just came across a London Free Press article about Lloyd and the show:

Lloyd's injury sounds very similar to the injury he had before 1991 Worlds. I certainly hope he makes a full recovery and enjoys "retired" life! :D
