Worlds tutu skater strikes again...

In today's paper, they say Ron Bensimhon - the guy who came on the ice wearing a tutu and skates at the World Championships right before Michelle Kwan's free program made a big splash in Athens when he jumped into the Olympic Diving Pool during the women's 10-metre platform syncrhronized diving final. Apparently he was tottooed with the name of an Internet Casino and has been arrested and has been charged with interrupting the games. He will appear in court today.

According to this article in Yahoo, this guy was sentenced to 5 months in jail (pending appeal). They must have a really fast judicial system there! There seems to be some debate as to whether this is the same guy from Dortmund (this article says he is), but either way, I hope they uphold the verdict and the guy serves the full sentence!

I also read a blurb in the Chicago Tribune that said that this guy did this to send a love message to his wife by getting on tv. The quote from Marton Simitsek, Executive Director of the Athens Olympic Committee, is "He is a gentlemen who is very much in love with his wife and wanted to present a loving message to his wife." Gosh, every woman's dream to have her husband show his love in tights, tutu and casino message painted on his chest on world television!
