I only included eligible skaters in this poll. Maybe I can create one for pro skaters? Or Olympic gold winners? Like, who is your favorite to win gold at the Olympics?

Michelle Kwan! Because she is just so beautiful inside and out! And her skating is beautiful too!

My favorite is Angela Nikodinov, but she isn't listed as one of your choices.

My all time favorite is Sasha Cohen.
I've figured out why...its because she has so many high quality elements (Russian split; layback; front catch spin; side catch spin; IE and OE spirals; fan and charlotte "spirals"; incredible extension on her camel and great speed, plus changing edges; scratch spins; I love her soft, gentle edging and wide backward crossovers that give her such speed over the ice; her jumps except for slight flutz are so technically pure and her "proper backspin position" is among the best.
When it comes to presence, as well as line, extension, turnout...all the little details, it doesn't get any better than Sasha!
Overall, when she skates, I just get GIDDY WITH DELIGHT and EXCITEMENT (even when she falls) because with her there is so much MORE there. She always puts a big smile on my face and I always enjoy playing her programs again and again.

I added Tara.
Anyways, my favorite skater is hands down Sasha Cohen. I had always been a casual watcher of skating, but no one really caught my attention until Sasha came along. I remember that I first saw her at 2001 Trophee Lalique. I really liked her costume and eventhough she had mistakes, there was a spark there with her. Then in a replay, they showed her russian split and my jaw dropped at the extension of it. Then they showed her practicing her quad in practice and that was when I knew I was hooked. Skating would randomely come on again and I'd watch it and see Sasha. Everybody else kinda bored me, but she was interesting and I wanted her to win. That is how it has been ever since. She impressed me further when I learned about technique. She's got gorgeous jumps, amazing carriage, jaw dropping flexibility, is one of the best spinners among the ladies, ooozes prescence, speaks her mind and isn't afraid to push herself usually. That is why I am a firm supporter of the fabulous Sasha Cohen. I don't like everything she does and will note it, but I will always root for Sasha.

Sasha, of course. I always watched skating growing up in Ukraine, it's huge there as you well know. I was thrilled to see Oksana win the OGM, her style of skating really moved me. After her retirement I found nothing interesting in ladies skating. I could never get into Michelle's skating, try as I might.
Then one evening in the winter of 2002 I had the TV on and was doing something in the other room. I heard very familiar music and came in to see. It was Sasha skating her Sentimental Waltz SP during the Nationals. This music comes from an old Russian movie and I was really surprised to see an American skater use it. Then I looked at the skater herself and WOW! 8O She was so expressive and graceful and her positions were as beautiful as a ballet dancers. I was very impressed and very quickly I was hooked!
I followed her through the Olys, recording all her perfomances. When I found out that her mom Galina came from my hometown in Ukraine, I had yet another reason to become a sashafan (as if her magnificent skating weren't enough)
