Not the entire summer. She's back in Quebec now but will be returning to Mariposa to skate in the show and spend a few days training.

I heard through the grapevine Mariposa's summer school is extremely crowded. I think it's great Doug's school is doing so well but I also heard some skaters are not too happy with the crowded ice. Isn't there some kind of regulation as to how many skaters can be on the ice during one session?

Grapevines are not usually the best source for information Come have a look the sessions are just fine. The school is a very motivating place to be.

Here is the site of the Mariposa Charity Gala 2004 (http://www.mariposagala.info/) . You can find the complete list of participating skaters in the "Program" part.

Tramp, I have been to Mariposa's summer camp. And yes, it's very motivating. But how can 20 ELITE skaters get a long program played on sessions that are 45mins. or even 60mins? I think that's what the skaters are having complaints about. I heard the other sessions are allowing even more that 20 skaters on.

The actual number is 15 on the elite session The odd time Jennifer and or Steve are on but neither on are doing programs. The sessions are 60 min twice a day that is ample time daily to get a program played.

Tramp, I don't know who you know but I can name the kids on the elite session and there are 19 normally without Jen and Steve and the sessions are 60minutes and the second one is 45minutes.

It's true. ALL the sessions are over crowded and it can become very frustrating for the skaters. As for the elite session? They have a system so that the skaters can all get at least one program played per session.

If you figure in when a coach (and there are five), is in a lesson, the next person in line gets bumped, it's kinda' hard for everyone to get their music played.
