I've been trying to find a list of what pairs and dance teams have split since the end of last season, but I haven't had any luck. If you could post a list of the ones, national or international, that have split, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Phibbs/McPherson split after Skate Liberty according to Emma's mom who posted a letter on another website.

According to the SkateFans archive, Steigler & Cording have split. I believe Handy & Allen have as well. Also, Spielberg & Joeright have retired.

I believe Laura Handy & Bert Cording have teamed up now.
Bert and Laura are no longer skating together.

Gibbons & Pekarek
Magerovskiy & Magerovskiy
Gibbons & Pekarek have retired (there was an article about their retirement on the USFS website months ago). Tiffany Stiegler has been dancing with Sergei Magerovskiy this summer (they competed in 2 Open Dances at the Lake Placid dance competition last month), but it's unconfirmed whether or not she has passed all the required dance tests in time (before Sept. 1st) in order to compete in senior dance this year (and whether or not Magerovskiy will be her partner for sure).
I've been keeping tracking of the U.S. pairs splits and new teams since 2004 Nationals... will try and summarize them all here in my next post.

NEW U.S. SENIOR PAIR TEAMS (that have competed this summer):
Shantel Jordan & Jeremy Barrett (2004 junior champs), Katie Beriau & Joseph Gazzola, Brooke Castile & Ben Okolski (2004 junior silver medalists), Stephanie Kuban & Larry Ibarra, Lauren Simm & Devin Matthews, Julian Burns & Themi Leftheris (unfortunately he was injured at Golden West yesterday -- no idea how seriously yet). Marisa Sharma & Amir Ganaba and Christie Baca & Steven Pottenger have not competed yet; Emma Phibbs & Bert Cording and Crystal Hancy & Miguel Alegre (in Florida) reportedly have teamed up very recently.
NEW U.S. JUNIOR TEAMS:
Vlassov & Meekins (on JGP), Miller & Brubaker (won gold at JGP in France), McLaughlin & Burgess, Smith & Chitwood (JGP), Tossey & Judt, and Katz & Lynch (JGP) are the novice teams from 2004 Nationals that have moved up to junior this season. Did Modro retire, or is he just in limbo right now?

Retire? Were they together long enough to retire?

Modro is still listed on one of the partner search sites, so I assume he's still looking to continue pairs?

Makes me wonder why I am even trying to keep up with it. teehee. Hopefully The US gets a team that can, at the very least, land some SBS triples.
