This is a new thread
To be only in haiku
Do not violate
Skating is so great
It's like poetry on ice
I skate every day
What is it you like?
Is it the speed, the grace, or...
the fantastic hair?

For those who don't know
I will give you Haiku rules
It is quite easy
First, five syllables.
The second line has seven.
Then back down to five.
Have fun haiku friends
Once you start, you just can't stop.
Makes skating chat fun

Jeeze, five, seven, five?
Sounds like a challenge to me!
I love a challenge!
Oh, Moto Guzzi,
which discipline do you like
to watch on TV?
Is it Ladies, Mens,
high flying Pairs, or is it
beautiful Ice Dance?

The Figure skater
Floats, leaps, soars, spins, glides, flies, blurrs
Then stands in Stillness.

Figure skaters are
graceful, bold risk-takers, like
Daisies in Winter.

Illusion is flesh
That wants to hide bras and scars
But makes you look dark.

Try to hold an edge
With blades as dull as Boyfriend.
Not easy, is it?

There is no response.
Are my haiku just too bad?
I will try harder.

Hooray! I've been read.
I was starting to wonder.
I hope you write more.
My man is quite good.
I wrote that for a dear friend.
I hope she dumps him.

Dump her man? That's nice!
Especially on the ice!
Cold shoulder. Wet butt.

This is the best thread
ever! I am so glad you
are all taking part!
How 'bout a haiku
that tells where you live at the
present time. Sound good?

LittleBitSk8er,
you did not write a haiku.
It's five, seven, five.

There was young girl named Oksana
Who'd skate in a balletic manna
For the world to behold
She spun us a gold
And touched many hearts of a fana
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
There once was a dancer named Maya
Who set all our hearts on faya
With Evgeny in tow
They scored a 6-0
Triumphed in the kiss 'n crya :P
