North America
-------------
Boitano
Eldridge
Kurt
David & Jamie
Yuka (she's a U.S. citizen through marriage, right?)
Kristi
Sarah (just to entice her to comeback to skating :) )
World Team
------------
Yagudin
Kulik
Viktor
Anton and Elena
Oksana
Maria
Katarina (only because I can't think of anyone else)
Hmm, I don't know of any professional European lady that can jump well anymore.
With my lineup, the World Team should win the men, with Viktor being the possible weak link. The North American team should dominate the women. The pairs will be a toss up.

Isn't there a French skater or two - Vanessa or Surya could be added? Also, Lucinda doesn't need to jump..she simply out spins everyone. Sylvia Fontana could be added as well. I think she could pull off a triple toe if needed. Pro ranks for Singles Ladies is short right now so they may need to rearrange the comp to include more pairs/dance teams. Also, I think Yuka tends to compete for the World in these types of comps.

It looks like the complete lineup for next year's Ice Wars has already been confirmed, according to this post from the Kulik's Krew board:

It also looks like they'll be returning to the "old" Ice Wars format (Team USA vs. Team World instead of Team Europe vs. Team North America). I'm kind of surprised to see Nancy's name on the list--I can't remember the last time I saw her compete at a pro competition! 8O
I'm a little disappointed there won't be a pairs competition at the next Ice Wars...but I'm kind of relieved there won't be another fluff piece rehashing the SLC judging scandal, too!
I know a lot of Ilia fans will be disappointed not to see him on the lineup, either. Personally, I would have preferred to see him on the World Team instead of Alexei just because (based on last season) Ilia seems to have more difficult jumps still in his arsenal than Alexei and it would have balanced the teams out a little more.
Of course, as a Kurt fan, I'm thrilled to hear he'll be back for the next Ice Wars! :)

On that post, it says that the World Team Challenge (held in Vancouver last year) will be held December 10/04 in Winnipeg. Does anyone have any information on this event - could my dreams be coming true??

As Ilia is not appearing in Ice Wars, I wonder if there would be any chance of him being invited to World Team Challenge? I know that in Canada there are lots of his "old" fans who have not seen him skate there since Skate Canada 1997. If the fans only would know to whom to send an appeal to see Ilia in World Team Challenge...?

I Dislike Ice Wars
Such implied conflict, not good.
Can't we get along?
