Lina is invited to skate in the GP-serie in Canada as the first swedish skater ever.

Lina Johansson from Malmö KK against Michelle Kwan and other big stars. It will happen in the end of October in Halifax, Canada.
Fore the first time ever a swedish skater has been invited to skate in a Grand-Prix serie for seniors.

-It is an honor. The GP-serie is a big event who televise in North America and only very good skaters in invited. It showes that they really wants to see Lina, her coach Ela Magnusson says.

Top six from Worlds are qualified and the other places goes to speciall invited skaters. Kristoffer Berntsson is also invited and that showes that swedish figureskating is on a go. Kristoffer is going to compete in a GP-competition in USA.

- This mean much for the devolopment of figureskating in Sweden, Ela says.

This weekeand Lina ends something who is very different for her: a week free from practise.. On monday she will go on camp in Tyringe, Sweden.

- This competition gives her more motivation. We have developed a new free program now, Ela says. After three weeks camp in Tyringe she will go to a camp in Flims, Switzerland.

Also ready now is that the 6.0 system is going to the history. The new system is a point system there every moment counts. The judge are not going to rank the skaters anymore.

- I think that the new system will be good for Lina. She is a very all-around skater, Ela says. But she will not be to optimistic.
- There is many questions about it who has to be answered. But the good thing is that you can improve even if you is in seventh place.

- I think that it is better for the skaters.

The GP-competition in Canada, there eleven skaters will compete, will probably be Lina´s third competition for the season. The program is not yet full completed.
