Hip hop original dance

Does anyone know if the ISU might be considering doing Hip Hop/Techno for the original dance? I saw an interview with Gwendal from Worlds and it was mentioned.

That would be... totally awesome. It brings figure skating into the more modern dance aesthetic.

I think that techno would be better for figure skating than hip hop but either would be new and exciting.

My coach and I were discussing this and we thought a combination of disco/hip hop/techno/breakdance would be so good to include in the original dance. I might email the ISU.

I can picture some really terrible versions of ice dancing cowboy outfits. I am sure C&S will have a field day with their designers.
