Found this quote from her public, online diary interesting -

"I think I over-planned with so many competitions this season. I won’t be doing that again."

So, which competitions will she not do?

Does she plan to follow the footsteps of Kwan? Compete in your nearby events, like doing SA and SC and one or two cheesefest. She could spend the rest of time imprvoing basics and tuning her programs. I think it's a smart decision for her. She tends to peak in the early season so far. Time to pace yourself and peak at the right time.

I'm guessing she means that she won't compete in those invitationals like the Hallmark one and stuff. Probably she'll stick to Grand Prix and qualifying events. At least, that's my guess.

She probably has a contract for those invitationals, like Kwan and uses them for income. I would expect her to do only 2 of the GP events and spread them out over the fall so they are not back to back weeks.

First of all - sorry about the typo in the title! I tried to fix it with the edit feature, but it wouldn't work.

So, if Sasha only competes in two GP events, do you think one will most likely be Skate America? Then, she'd skip Skate Canada, (why these two are so close together I don't understand!) and do a European one? Trophee Lalique, or CoR? I guess that would make sense.

Then add the fluff comps - aren't there usually just two? Why we had three this year was beyond me... Anyways, so she'd most likely do at least two of these. Add Nationals and Worlds, and the GPF, and that still seems like a full load!

We had 3 last year as well. Campbell's(michelle won), Crest(sasha won), and the end of the year thing(michelle won). It's a coincidence how they swapped this year where sasha won the first and last and michelle won the middle. Competition wise though, I think the problem this year which wasn't a problem last year was that the GPF this year was in december, not february like last year and it was so close to the winter pro/am and the end of the last GP(and not too much time after Lalique).
