Does Anyone know what music Elizabeth Manley skated to at 1988 Calgary Olympics. Short/Long and Show program?
Or does anyone know of site for music info re: skating

I could be wrong, but I thought the name of the music she skated to for the long was called "The Night they Invented Champagne".

I believe Liz skated to "The Merry Widow Waltz" for her short program.
For the long, she skated to "Irma La Douce" and "A Canadian Concerto".

Nick's correct about her LP music, but I think she skated to "The Railway Children" for her SP.

Thanks, Raine.
I remember Robin Cousins skating to almost exactly the same cut in his long program at the '80 Games. But, I wasn't sure if it was from THE RAILWAY CHILDREN or MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS.
Manley, along with Kadavy, Trenary and Ito, skated my favourite short programs in the ladies' competition.
Great music, by the way.
Cheers

I can help w/the show program question. Liz skated to a French and English version of Sing A Song from Sesame Street. I wish I knew who sang it and where to find it though. I'd love a copy of it myself.

Hi Nick,
It was Murder on the Orient Express. For some reason I got the two pieces confused. Robin did skate to a slower version of it in his 1980 LP.

"A Canadian Concerto" was the slow section of Liz's program, I believe. I remember one of the commentators said it was her all-time favorite piece of music she ever skated to. In fact, the entire program was a mix of Liz's favorite pieces of music she skated to over the years.
Unfortunately, I can't identify any of the other pieces of music in the program, but the fast piece of music Liz skated to at the beginning and end of her LP was the same piece of music Jill Trenary used for her SP that year. Does that piece of info help jog anyone's memory? :)

I think the music both of them used was "Irma La Douce"
