Michelle Kwan and Kristi Yamaguchi Commercial

Wasn't really sure if this qualified as news or not so I suppose it can be moved to general chat if that is where it belongs. I was wondering if anyone else saw this commercial. I thought it was kind of cute. It is promoting the NHL playoffs. I suppose since Kristi is married to a hockey player and Michelle used to date one that they were good choices. The two of them are on the ice and it is definitely set up as a hockey rink not for figure skating. They are chatting and Michelle is making hockey references that Kristi kind of ignores or just doesn't seem to get. At the end Michelle is dreaming of silver and not gold as in the Stanley Cup and not a medal. I only saw it once while I was watching the Stars and Avalanche last night. Just wondered if anyone else had any thoughts on it.

Haven't seen it. Sounds neat. I'm assuming it's promoting whatever US network is carrying the playoffs? And that would be ... ?? (Up here it's all CBC all the time.)

They've been showing this commercial on ESPN during Primetime.

Artemis, when I saw it I was watching UPN in the US. I know other stations are carrying the games as well though.

I too have seen this promotion. Kristi is married to Bret Hedican, defenseman for the Carolina Hurricanes (who are not in the playoffs this year). It was recorded at the RBC Center where the Hurricanes play in Raleigh NC. Interestingly enough, I saw it during several games before the playoffs started, but not during Canes TV broadcasts.
