Michelle is skating to Josh Groban's "You Hold Me Up" in her Worlds 2004 SP dress -- for those of you who were wondering (like me)!

I was corrected when I posted on another board that Josh Groban's song is "You Raise Me Up" not HOLD, as I reported. All of the postings about MK being "held up" have had an impact, even on "SkatingFanofMK".

Stars On Ice seesm so much more innovative now than COI, that I dont think COI is going to be around many more years.

I don't like Stars On Ice as much as Champions On Ice, probably because I'm someone who hates group numbers. And Stars On Ice has more than just an opening and closing group number like Champions On Ice has. I prefer to see skaters skate their own program and then move on to the next skater. That's basically what you get with Champions On Ice. Although I rarely go to either Champions On Ice or Stars On Ice because too many of the programs in both tours are stupid "lets ham to the audience" programs. I hate those types of programs because they're usually big on excess posing while small on pure quality skating.

I actually prefer the group numbers and themes woven into the skating shows.
This is the first time in 11 years I am not going to COI this season. I have been so disappoitned with the show the last few years, that I am not going to waste my money this time around. There are just too many gimicy skaters and not enough real skating to make it worth my money.
SOI has had some down years as well, but the past two years they have really made lots of improvement. This year's show has got to be one of the best ones I've seen in the last 11 years I've been going.

This year COI is not even coming close to us here in the Houston area. So we will NOT be seeing it.http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/smi/0201d20716/07 http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/smi/0201d20716/14
I do like the group numbers they do, most not all are fun and entertaining to watch. I really enjoy their own personal programs. The speed, power and grace is so amazing and a joy every time to see.
I only wish we could get the seats on the ice!
