If you really love to watch skating, and don't mind seeing less-than-Olympic caliber shows, try one of your local skating club's shows. It's really inspiring to children when they see kids their age standing spotlight. Generally, there's less pressure than at a competition, so everyone just goes out there to have fun. My kids love going to these, although they get itchy to get on the ice themselves!
The Clubs/Rinks usually sell tickets for less than $20 USD and the funds benefit the group. If the group is really large, there may not be many available.
How about telling us WHO'S HAVING A SHOW and HOW TO GET TICKETS for your rink.
Thanks!

actually mandy won't be in the show- she's not a member of minto. but as far as i know everyone else you mentioned will be there. the winner of the pre-novice ladies (dana zhalko-tytarenko) and novice mens (michael elias) event at the eastern ontario sectionals will be performing solos, along with the club champions of each level. the solos will have certain themes, and the performers will be portraying characters.
for example:
david leenen, who got 2nd at EO sectionals will be the cat in the hat
sarah hodgins (i dont know what place she got at sectionals in novice ladies) will be barbara ann scott
brennan martin (who i believe got 4th in jr. men) will be the "bad cowboy"
michael elias will be the "good cowboy"
and dana zhalko-tytarenko will be the showgirl.
the lower level skaters will be performing a group number, representing the wild, wild west, and the higher level group will be performing a "tribute to the past" group number, and a "modern" group number. thats all i know so far
sounds like a heck of a show ;) 8-)
