I'd also love to know the junior dance teams competing at Lake Placid. Compulsories, OD, and Free Dance. Any of them!

G/O and N/G will probably be among the strongest teams, but do not forget about Navarro/Shmalo and Moxley/Kirsanov. Based on the results of last season, it's tough to tell who will be the strongest team at Lake Placid-- I think we'll just have to wait and see. I'm just excited that the roster is so strong. Anyway, I typed up the entry list for Seniors and Juniors for Lake Placid based on the list on that site......along with which section they seem to be in. Correct me if I am wrong about their section.

SENIOR
Goodwin/Obzansky- East
Moxley/Kirsanov- East?
Navarro/Shmalo- East?
Nussear/Gates- East?
Nitake/Ross-Frye Pacific
Beckerdite/Traxler- Mids
Munana/Munana- P
Zepeda/Hart- M
Moliver/Novikov- E
Heisler/Palluel- E

JUNIOR
Matthews/Zavozine- E
Russell/Metzger- P
Langhans/Braasch- P
Frisch/Bommentre- E
Devins/O'Keefe- E
Donowick/Ungar- P
Davis/White- M
Solomon/Cohen- E
Ellis/Connelly- P
Slattery/Harris- E
Speltz/Coverdale- M
Steed/Hill- M
Scheumann/McCullough- E
Bos/Holdburg- E
Stacey Carter/Latyshev- E (I saw her in singles at Souths novice ladies 2 years ago and really liked her)
Copley/Wensel- E
Steffey/Brown- M
Stoveld/Fotheringham- CANADA
Wester/Bird- M
Chong/Barnes- CANADA
Rey/Rey- E
Graham/Neumann-Aubichon- CANADA

Looks like it is going to be a great, very exciting competition that will give us a good idea of how these teams might stack up later in the season...

EDITED to remove the split Canadian teams. Thanks, Catherine. Team up, split, team up, split. They're even worse than Americans!

Anyone know what's up with the Youngs? I'm surprised they're not going--I would've expected them to be trying for an international assignment.

Thanks for the list, Haribobo. Much more easy to read then the one on the official site.

You can remove two Canadian teams from the list; Girard & Wernham and Destremps & Springfield have recently split.

Also sorry to see that Jamie and Brandon are not on the list. I would have thought they would try for an international assignment, as well. Perhaps they haven't had enough training time because of his injury.

Sparkey do you know much about these two teams and how they might match up against the other Canadians ? Is this thier first year in Jr?Seeing that it's G/NA's first run in Junior and it's early, thier FD may be rough so it's any guess how they will do.

I wonder why Galler-Rabinowitz/Mitchell decided not to compete at Lake Placid. I suppose their dances might not be finished but they still could've done the compulsories. Any guesses?

Also, the team listings are no longer on the website. But I want to ask, I thought I saw Kelly Goodsell's name on there, I forget if she was solo or with a partner. Does anyone else remember seeing her name on there? If it was with a partner, who was it? Thanks.

Wind, I don't know about Stoveld/Fotheringham except that they are a new team together . Chong and Barnes were pre-nov last year and moving up to novice--I saw those two skate at the beginning of last year and then at the end of last year, and they really made a huge improvement in that time. As for skating novice, I don't know how they'll fare because I have a feeling there will be some very strong (and experienced) teams this year. We'll see!

They already have JGP assignments, so they don't really "need" to compete.

Given the fat that he was recently injured and the fact that Jamie and Brandon have had limited time together I think making an appearance at this competition woulf not have been a good idea. They have really had less than 2 months of ice timne together.

travelingfan, Kelly Goodsell is with Paul Hurych, who was formerly with Ashley Elliot. Paul and Kelly have only been skating together a few weeks.

Congrats to Mendoza and Lea...a bronze for the USA in Novice International!!!!!
:D :D They have an elegant look on the ice.
Also skating in Cleveland with them now for icedance will be Raya Mafazy and Luke Mafazy, but Luke is currently injured.
Amazing and nice to see in the regular Novice freedance many teams have moved up and surpassed some of the more experienced ones!
Dare I hope that teams will actually be judged on the event, not the reputation?? :o
