View Full Version : What's your favourite skating move?

To me, the most spectacular move in skating is a lateral twist in pairs, but not many skaters do them any more. I know Brasseur & Eisler, Shen & Zhao and possibly Abitbol & Bernadis have done them before.

Aswell as that, I love good layback spins (especially with the straight free leg), good flying spins, good double axels, and flowy, difficult footwork sequences. And effective lifts. :)

What about everyone else?

I just get hypnotized by an elegant layback spin.

I think it's a tie, for me, between beautiful layback's and beautiful spirals.

Laybacks (Sasha's, NNN's and AN's come to mind at this moment, maybe Sarah's too)

Spirals (especially Sasha and Michelle's)

Ina Baurs (Sasha's),

Russian split (Sasha's)

Falling Split leaf (Sasha's and Michelle's)

Spins (Sasha, Irina, NNN, Stephane Lamiel, Eman, Jeffery Buttle and of course Lucinda )

Triple Twists of course! I also really like Beilmans that spin really fast!

The Boitano spread eagle
Michelle's falling leaf

I love (done nicely, of course :) ) layback spins, spread eagles and Ina Bauers.
