The rumour has it that Shae will be part of Stars on Ice Canada.
I guess IMG are following some of WOW Events foots step.
She was so good on Celebration on Ice. cool

Where you heard that rumour ? I was thinking the other day that she might but it was just a thought... But if it's true I'm happy for her !!!

I hope it's true! Go Shae-Lynn!

I hope it's true, too! That would be great news. I didn't think that Jennifer was able to hold up on the ladies end last year, so I'm glad that Shae-Lynn is going to come on board. She has star power and is going to add some sizzle!

Is Shae-Lynn replacing Jennifer? Wouldn't hurt my feelings....Jennifer was kinda ho-hum on last years tour. She looked pretty "amateur" next to all the seasoned pros.

Jennifer is still on the cast page of the tour....

This may be a stupid question, but why is Eman never in these shows? Is it that he is not asked or do you think he just says no thanks if he is?
He's the only guy I'd pay to see (other than Plushy and he won't come to Canada).

Why won't Plusy come to Canada?

I'm just guessing here, but it could be because there are already plenty of men in the Canadian tour. I think they're at least attempting a gender balance.
It could also depend on his representation. I don't know who represents him though.
As for Shae vs. Jennifer, unless she got injured there's no way they'd dump Jennifer for this year since she's already been signed. There's no official announcement for Shae for this year's tour ... yet ... but we can live in hope. BTW, I wouldn't cry if Shae replaced Jen either, but I do enjoy Jen more in this kind of show than in her competitive skating, and I think she does a perfectly acceptable job.

I don't think he's ever done a Canadian Stars on Ice - always does COI and, of course, that doesn't come up here. [Hoping that he comes back to Skate Canada in October though 'cause I'll be in Halifax.]

Why can't CSOI have both Shae and Jennifer? Their cast list as it stands right now looks pretty small and I'd say there's definitely room for at least one more woman! I know I was impressed with Shae's solo work on the tour in the past (when she filled in for Kristi/Yuka/Tara in a lot of the group numbers) and I'm intrigued at the possibility of seeing her do a whole full-fledged dance solo.
I remember B&E and B&K were able to work out a deal where they could appear in COI in the States and Canadian SOI, but that no longer seems to be an option for Canadian skaters since the COI tour has gotten so much smaller in recent years and skaters are expected to do the whole thing.
I'd also love Yuka to finally come up and tour Canada this year, but that's probably wishful thinking for another thread. ;)

Oh my, Yuka! Yes, I would love to see her on the show!
I think the reason Eman is not in CSOI is definitely representation. CSOI is an IMG show, showcasing their IMG clients, and Eman is not with IMG. This is why Jennifer is in the show, despite, IMO, not being at the same level with the other skaters in the show, past and present. I think she's a fine competitive skater who has had a long career due to her consistency, but her show numbers have always put me to sleep. I don't think she was a hit last year either - at the show I was at, her number only garnered polite applause. I can't remember one Canadian gala number that she has skated to, and she's been at senior Canadians since 1995. And her flow and edges are definitely not of the standard that I associate CSOI with. But, she's with IMG, which means she has guaranteed employment on CSOI for the next few years.
If Shae comes in and becomes the top lady on the tour, I think this is a huge plus. However, I wonder what will happen if both Shae and Jennifer are on the tour. Who will get top billing?
In any case, I hope the rumours are true. Shae-Lynn shines on the ice and she would be a great addition to the cast.
Shae's appearance in CSOI is confirmed - check out the Kurt Browning article that's posted in another thread.

Shae, probably - she's a world champion, after all. I would have thought that the skater with the highest ranking/achievements would get top billing.

The official CSOI site has also been updated with a press release confirming Shae's addition to the tour:

Steven Cousins, Kyoko Ina and John Zimmerman will also be back, but alas, no Yuka. :(
