American Idol.. on Ice?

Would an on-ice version of this show work, you think?

If so what would the format be and WHO would be those *nasty* judges? ;)

I'd think it'd be much of the same format wise.. 3 or 4 locations around the country and have it be open to all skaters. They get to perform a 1:30 program or something to show off their skills... and then:

Christopher Dean (Brit guy)
Tracy Wilson (Nice girl)
Paul Wylie (Nice guy)

would make their decisions about who will move on!! The winner could get a place in Stars on Ice or something.

I'd love to see Toller Cranston and Dick Button as judges, with someone a little less blunt as the third judge, to balance out the brutal honesty. :twisted: Maybe Dorothy Hamill.

LOL, doubt if SOI would agree.

I'd prefer the judges be Paul Wylie, Janet Lynn, Dick Button, Irina Rodnina, Tatiana Tarasova and Katia Gordeeva.

I prefer a "balance of power" with checks and balances.
