I just read that Sasha's programs will be unusual and exciting or something like that. Any other suggestions or details on anyone's plans? Thanks :D !

Trifun Zivanovic (yes, he's still planning to compete for Yugoslavia) is keeping his "Dracula" LP, and his new SP is by the band Barrage.
Dubreuil/Lauzon are doing a waltz and polka for their OD, and their FD is being composed for them. No titles yet; and the FD composer is [b:334a80d491]not[/b:334a80d491] Maxime Rodriguez.

Sweet! I just got a CD of theirs, and it's great. Hopefully he'll do well enough to be televised. :)

Off topic a bit, but could someone tell me where Trifun is now training? I thought I saw him in Santa Clarita, CA last week at the Ice Station. I didn't see him on the ice, but saw someone that looked exactly like him in the lobby taking his skates off. Just curious if it was him. :)

Jenny Kirk mentioned in her online diary that her free program is to a medley of Abba music including the song "Dancing Queen." It's choreographed by Olga Volozhinskaya (I assume that's the Olga she's referring to in her diary, anyway). No word on her short yet.
Edited to add: I'm reading the Ryan Bradley article on the Golden Skate website (http://goldenskate.com) and he says that his short is to "Fiddler on the Roof" and his long is "Light Calvary."
My friend told me that Annie Bellemare is being choreographed by Josee Chouinard.

I am not sure of the correct names for this music but I heard Orscher/Lucash's short and long when I was at Simsbury. The Short is a Spanish Tango ( which is very different look for them and is very difficult and interesting. The choregraher did a great job. The long is to a classical selection that I have heard before but can't place. This program is very very different from the short. It is dramatic and highly emotional music. I didn't see them skate this program with complete run throughs but saw various parts as they were doing choreography. This is a beautiful program and I am very anxious to see the finished product. )
I also saw the new Jr. team that Numov has (Kate Rigolote (?)). For a Jr. team they are looking pretty good. I don't know his name but I think he is an Italian.

One more I forgot to mention: Johnny Weir said in his site's journal thing that in his LP he will be portraying some sort of character, though he didn't give details.
And ITA that [i:7266b26c9b]Madame Butterfly[/i:7266b26c9b] sounds like a great choice for AP.

From the latest Blades on Ice:
Kevin van der Perren: Long is Stravinsky's Firebird, and he'll have a new short as well.
Beatrisa Liang's short is The Duel by Bond and her long is a Tchaikovsky violin concerto. Both will supposedly highlight her "youthfulness and flexibility" because her Cirque du Soliel long from this year didn't work as well as hoped.

This month's Blades on Ice is just full of program news.
Annie Bellemare is keeping her short from last year to "The Piano" but is getting a new long.
Also, check out Louis' Liberty reports for a whole lot of program info:http://home.earthlink.net/~louis17/02liberty.html
Highlights:
Ryan Jahnke's SP is Fellini and LP is Cinderella.
Derrick Delmore is using flamenco for the short and West Side Story for the long.

Kevin will not be using the Firebird. He had originally wanted to but decided to go for something different.

Glad to hear Annie's keeping her The Piano SP. That thing really suited her and I loved it at Cdns this past January. Looking forward to seeing what her LP is for this coming season.
I know Kurt Browning is working w/Takeshi Honda on his SP for this year, but I don't know what the two of them are coming up w/. Should be interesting to see.
Any news on B&K's programs yet?
Sigh...Only a couple more months till the start of the new season.

To answer your question, it probably was Trifun. Ice Station is just one of the rinks that he trains at.
Lots of great info.! ITA that Madame Butterfly for AP is going to be special. I saw some nice new programs this weekend, too.
Best wishes to everyone on their new material!
